I am a Chinese/Japanese Medicine Practitioner with expertise in chronic pain relief. I will help you to release, rebuild, and renew your way to health by stimulating your natural healing abilities integrating East Asian Medicine techniques, auriculotherapy, exercise prescription, and massage. I will help you to relieve stress and anxiety and alleviate many other symptoms in the process.
My education and experience in sports and workplace science and both modern and traditional diagnostic techniques enables me to conduct effective, concise treatments. I hold a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the number one ranked school in the country, the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts and am a Certified Sports Medicine Acupuncturist®. My diagnostic and treatment methods are informed by 15 years of clinical experience in Traditional Chinese and Japanese Medicine, advanced acupuncture and sports medicine diagnostic techniques as well as 11 years as a biomechanics researcher evaluating and improving the performance of Nike’s athletic footwear and equipment.
I am nationally board certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine®). I served on the Oregon Department of Human Service’s Pain Management Commission helping pain patients by influencing public policy and legislation for 6 years until my relocation to the Boston area. When I’m not working, I do my corrective and Barre 3® exercises, practice meditation, bicycle, snowboard, cook, and serve as the Treasurer for the Acupuncture Society of Massachusetts.
